Clipland

MTV, VH1 and CMT are all popular television channels that base their content around music videos. Directors, producers and artists spend many hours and thousands of dollars on these short pieces of media, and yet many of them don't get the recognition they deserve. Clipland.com offers fans a chance to learn about these people and other little-known facts about their favorite music videos.

While it doesn't limit itself to only music videos -- TV commercials and movie trailers are among the media included on the site -- Clipland offers a free textual database of facts about videos. Information listed in the database includes director, date of release and technical specifications. Some videos have streaming, live-video feeds and still images. Visitors can review the video and discuss it on the site's message boards.

The site is growing and there are still hundreds of music videos not included in the database. Visitors are encouraged to help add items to the database to make it the most accurate and comprehensive site of its kind on the Internet.

This site has potential. Once it gets more videos added to the database, and the holes in current data are fixed, it will be a great resource to any music video fan. Until that time, though, it is simply a good idea in the making.
