Ever get tired of that boring gray toolbar at the top of your Web browser? If you're using Internet Explorer, Hotbar is just the thing to liven up your Internet experience.
Hotbar is a free program that Internet users can download and apply to their browser window. The program allows users to place a "skin" on their toolbar. You can choose from the many pre-made skins or learn how to make your own.
The download is quick and easy. Before long, your plain gray toolbar can be sporting any picture your heart desires.
Despite the aesthetic benefits of Hotbar, it also has its drawbacks. To run the program, another toolbar must be run in your browser. This toolbar, while helpful in changing the browser skin and doing quick searches of the Internet, takes up some of the browsing window, lowering the quality of your Internet experience.The program is also riddled with pop-up ads. The ads keep the program free, but the constant need to close the little windows quickly becomes an annoyance and a hassle.
